Run Training

We take all standards including those that cannot
run (yet), through to high achieving place getters!
Our star runner Chris Kemp, recently ran a 8:33 PB for 3km on the track, so we know how to get you moving!
We run comprehensive run programs aimed at the major fun runs & triathlons during the year!
These programs target runs from 5km up to marathon.
Runs of interest in 2008:
- Gold Coast 10km, Half & Marathon - July.
- Sutherland to Surf 11km - July.
- City To Surf 14km - August.
- Sydney Bridge Runs (9km, 21km & 42km) - September.

Notes:
North Bondi Surf Club: meet out the front on the promenade.
Please allow time for traffic & parking as we do not encourage late attendance!
** DO NOT bring valuables to the beach!
There is 2 hour free parking in the streets behind the surf club or meter/ car park rates apply.
Centennial Park: meet - FLAGPOLES:in front of Federation Pavilion, on Grand Drive.
This is the main road (1 way) inside the park.
We meet on the left hand side of the road: 500 metres past the restaurant & 200 metres past the TOILETS.
Kensington - E.S.
Marks Track and Field: corner of Anzac Parade & Bornia Street,
near Allison Road intersection. Entry is via Boronia Street. There is a $4 track entry - payable to gate attendant.
Meet at the start/ finish line on western side
of the track.
Casual rates of $15 or multi casual pass of $100 for 8 visits apply.
Please pay before the session - cash only!
We offer monthly rates if you intend to train 3(+) times per week, with internet banking options!
These include:
$120 - unlimited running & swimming inc. & monthly run & swim program. .
$160 - unlimited swim, bike, run inc. monthly run & triathlon program.

Guide to Sessions
Tuesday night - 6.30pm: North Bondi Surf Club
The goal of this is session is to build strength & endurance.
We will generally run easier to start with & faster to finish
(tempo run).
Beginners will be simply encouraged to find a partner - run
slow & long!
Thursday night - 6.30pm: ES MARKS track - Kensington.
Location: corner of Anzac Parade & Bornia Street, near Allison
Road intersection.
Meet at the start/ finish line on western side of the track.
This is the session to make you go faster & it may hurt!
If you want to go faster, you have to train faster!!!!
BEGINNERS, on the other hand, are encouraged to run further & at
an easier pace.
Saturday morning - 7.30am: Centennial Park.
The goal here is simple - go further without it hurting!
Beginners - this is your chance to build up your distance by going
slowly!
We have a monthly FAT BURNER run which goes for 90 minutes (+).
There is an option to walk/ run this one for rookies!

WE hold a monthly 5km or 10km run to measure your progress.
We want you to feel comfortable to turn up to these runs, without dreading them.
In short, you can run them at a slow pace, medium pace or faster pace!
And have a coffee afterwards with your fellow runners!

Training times:
* Tuesday 6.30pm - North Bondi Surf Club.
* Thursday 6.30pm - Kensington (Eastern Suburbs Athletic Track).
* Saturday 7.15am - Centennial Park.
We expect participants to make 2 out of the 3 runs per week.
DO NOT worry if you can't make all the sessions!
You can also mix the face to face coaching with running via correspondence in your own time....
Course includes:
* Running with people of similiar ability.
* Learn to run for longer without feeling like you will die - the Bondi Fit way!
* Run faster & learn to run hills properly - the Bondi Fit way!
* Learn good form.
* Stretching & injury prevention advice.
* Running program!
* Unlimited cross training with Team Bondi Fit (swim, bike & run).
* Specialised sessions on Tuesday/ Thursday with squad integration on Saturday for the longer run!
* Bondi Fit run a monthy time trial - we help you prepare for a race!
* 8km or 13km City To Surf Course training runs on Tuesday nights!
Cost:
- $299 for City To Surf course.
- $549 for 12 week Bridgge run courses.
You can upgrade after City To Surf & pay the difference!

Tuesday runs: we finish the run by doing run throughs - often uphill as below.
The goal of this to get a good body lean - 10%!
